We Need More Snow!

NewImage

I thought this title would get your attention.

I’m kidding!

Right about now, most of us are longing for spring. Heck, I’m just looking forward to a few days in a row above freezing. I haven’t been able to wash any of our vehicles in a month and they are coated with salt. The edges of our sidewalk are creeping in and our patio is shrinking (when will we ever need it again?). My back is hurting from all the shoveling…and I’m the one who blogged about the positive things you can do to get through a long winter.

But right now, we need more snow like we need a hole in the head!

But we’re getting more. There will be more snow and more freezing temperatures, probably some subzero. Spring is only five weeks away, but we usually get a little snow in April. So we are not done.

What are you gong to do about it?

Moan? Gripe and complain? Quit your responsibilities and flee to a warmer climate? Give up emotionally and let yourself get depressed?

There is more snow coming and more cold temperatures on the way. What are you going to do about it?

You do have a choice. You can be miserable about the weather or you can rise above it and make the most of what is left of the winter. I’d suggest you start by rereading the blog I referred to above.

Ok, complain some, but get it out of your system and move on and make the best of it. It’s gong to snow and be cold whether you like it or not. So find other things in life to attach yourself to. Get outside even though it is miserable. Accomplish a thing or two that you’ve been wanting to do for a long time. Figure out creative ways to be a blessing to others. And make the most of the rest of this winter.

Do it whether it snows and gets cold or not.

I really don’t think we need more snow. But God has a sense of humor. And maybe its just his way to keep pouring down as long as we keep complaining. If that’s the case, let’s do our part of letting him know that we’re good.

We’ve had enough.

But we’ll smile even if he gives us more. :-)
