The Time is Now

NewImageThere are some things that are just stupid to wait on.Sometimes patience is not a virtue.Years ago a small piece of siding came loose on my house. I planned on fixing it. It was a simple matter of putting the ladder up to the house and reattaching the siding. But I put if off.A few weeks later we had a major wind storm and that single loose piece of siding wound up peeling off almost the whole side of the house. What was a simple fix-it job that I could’ve done myself turned into thousands of dollars of damage. There are some things that are stupid to wait on.Why would you wait on settling your eternal destiny?Think about it, there is nothing in the world that compares in importance. Nothing. Many plan and prepare for retirement for years while hardly giving a thought to their ultimate retirement. Why would you wait on that?If we could really know for certain that we are going to heaven, would’t that be the biggest deal to get settled?

You can know today if you are saved!

If Jesus’ closest friend has any credibility, and I would think that he would, then you can know today if you are saved. You don't have to wait until after death. In fact, the witness of the authors of Scripture is that then it would be too late. But Jesus’ best friend, John, said, “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.”Now that’s not something to wait on. We all know our time is coming and we have no idea when our lives will be over. Settle this today. You can know today that you are saved.I’ve written a booklet called, “How You Can Be Saved," and I’d love to send it to you. Just click on the “Contact” link at the top of the page to send your mailing address to me, and I will put it in the mail, free of charge, right away. If you prefer it as a pdf file, let me know that in the message, and I’ll email it back to you.Having to spend a couple thousand dollars unnecessarily on siding because of procrastination is one thing. Being separated from God for eternity is quite another.“The 'right time' is now. Today is the day of salvation!” (2 Corinthians 6:2 NLT)
